bx23 strainer pictures

There's seems to be a shortage of strainer pictures. I tried and failed to find some before my 50 hour service. All I found were peoples descriptions and the poor drawing in the owners manual.
So during the course of my service I took some pics. I removed the left rear wheel (you don't have to) to make it easier.

I haven't hit the 50 hour mark yet. Is the enire length of the 'pipe' the strainer?

appreciate the pic, I was wondering where that thing was. When do you do the service, at 300 hrs for the strainer. I changed my tranny fluid with amsoil synthetic at 50 hrs but didnt know about the strainer at that time.

7/8 of it is the strainer, and the end is a banjo bolt for the fluid to flow through.

I am at 50 hours and there was trash all over the strainer. If you look at the closeup shot you can see the trash. It is the heaviest nearest the banjo bolt end.

Mine was the same way in my Bx22 when I did it at the 50 hour mark.

What did you use to clean the strainer?

It has been recommended to remove this stainer and clean it up at 50hrs. The strainer on my bx2300 was dirty with shavings at 50hrs and I think it would not be good to leave this in that condition for another 250 hrs.
