I have a BX 23 TBL and want to add a three point back blade. I'm trying to decide on which kind of blade, which size and or a box blade or a regular blade. Now I have had a 7' rotating back blade before on my last tractor, a Oliver Super 55, which worked just fine for scraping driveway of snow. So here is what I intend to use this new back blade for. My main use will be for leveling out high spots in my finished lawn. It's about 1 1/2 acres, I did not have the equiptment when I built my house and put in lawn, so It's got some high and low spots which I want ot fix. But I was also thinking of using It in the winter to finish up some snow that was left behind after I snow- blowed the driveway. Driveway is about 160' long, and I have a large turn a round in front of large garage, about 75'X 100' of blacktop. I use my front BX2750 front mounted snowblower to do this task and want to use blade to clear snow away from close to garage doors or uneven walk paths. I'm looking at a Land Pride Box Blade model BB0554, it weighs 298 lbs. So is this to big for the BX23, to small? Or what are the opinions and my type and size for the tasks I have in mind? Please give me your real experiences with my size tractor and back blades to do this work, er, er, play.
