BX2350 163 hrs MMM Loader - Deal?

$9,500 - Good deal? Been looking at new BX2660's. Stopped by a different dealer to check a different brand for the sake of it. He had just taken this on a trade for a larger Kioti. Looks to be in great shape.

Would there be any concerns with the hours or the price for the hours?

The price seems OK, but many have objected to the abrupt stops when releasing the HST pedal especially in reverse; never drove one myself.

If it has been used properly and serviced, the hours should not be a problem. The 50 series have an abrupt stop in reverse issue. Try it before buying and if it doesn't bother you then it doesn't bother you. With 0% financing now near new used can be difficult to sell or trade. Check with Barlows for a new price on a BX2360 and figure from there. If your financing both purchases then figure your monthly payments and then total for both new and used. If your able to pay cash then figure investing your cash and the return then financing the new one for the total amount.

That is what I paid for an BX1850 with the same attachments and approx the same hours.

I had read that on previous posts about the abrupt stop. I have not driven this machine since when I was looking into the Cub/Yanmar SC2400 last week, he told me he had just got that one in and had a buyer already lined up. I commented that it was a really nice machine and that I had been looking at the Kubota's.
I guess something fell through because he called me this morning to tell me he'd let me have it for $9,500 + 400 for a box scrape and 800 for a rotary cutter (items I had inquired about with him before).
The price sounds good, but I don't know what kind of abuse this could have had with someone else; plus, I've been thinking about buying new for so long and really like the BX2660. It is a lot cheaper though....

I'm not sure of the exact numbers I paid for my BX2350 with a 60" deck, but that price sounds like about $1000 less. I'd think they could do a little better and that price is to close to the price of a new one.
