He isn't saying he has a 6' box blade, but rather a rear blade for snow. I have a 5ft box blade and it works fine, but not if you plan to fill the box. Most folks use a 48" or smaller box blade on the BX tractors. I think a 54" is also available from some manufacturer.

It's one of several I'm considering. Others are the JD 2305, Kubota 7510 and a used (rental return) JD 4115. 6 acres, slightly (say up to 21.573%) hilly. Tradeoffs for me are the lower center of gravity on the subcuts vs the more rear lift, ground clearance and expandability of the 7510 or 4115. I'll be rear mowing/brushing and box scraping mainly, and I look forward to moving some dirt. I'm 62 and I want to be a farmer when I grow up.

i went to dealer today and got price of 12350 for bx2350 with
60in mower. i have a bx22tlb that dealer said is probably worth aroud 12500. so i am highly considering this over, i really don,t need a backhoe any more and it is just taking upspace in garage.

That price is the best price I've gotten on a BX2350, 60"mmm, and FEL. If your price is with FEL, your right on the money. If not, keep looking.

I own one and love it to death, just got done washing & waxing today after a fun mowing session and grading my driveway (it didn't need it, I just wanted more time on the tractor). No problems with it at all. I'm VERY impressed with how fast I can mount and dismount the FEL and mower, it takes barely a few minutes each.

Just brought it home

Got one tonight. (FEL, Tiller, Rear Blade, grill guard) and a free hat!

Just couldn't justify the need over the want of a BX24.

Congrats on your purchases - Frosty and Botalover.. I'm still waiting, for what I don't know,,, Perhaps I'm going to gamble to see if they will offer 0 for 36, if they do, I know I'm buying one.

I'm real interested in getting a BB but thought 60" would be max. Nice to know if a deal comes my way that I can do 72.

Just a word of caution on this, if you don't keep up with the snow or if it gets real wet and sticky even a 60" blade can bog the tractor down and act as a kind of rudder making the rear end slide out instead of moving the snow. I would expect that a 72" would have more tendancy. Don't get me wrong, I've used the rear blade for three NE winters and it serves the purpose but for heavy or deep snow I would suggest keeping to the 60".

The good news is no amount of snow I've encountered was any match for the loader!:D
