BX2350 Work Capacity?

How much heavy duty type work is the bx2350 capable of doing with a FEL, etc.?

Looking at one for our farm to do the lawn mowing, manure clearing from the small stables, rototilling, move feed bags and loose feed, snow removal/plowing, and running small bush hog type mower for around the fences and so on.

We run a full size cattle farm and have the other Kubota M & L series tractors for doing field work.

Will the BX2350 actually perform or is it a glorified garden tractor?

The local dealership salesman says the BX2350 will do most anything.

What is your experience?

Thank you.

I have a bx24 and have been quite impressed with the power of this unit. For what you're describing, it will handle the job. It may need a little ballast to do the heavier work effectively, espeically if you're used to the larger tractors. You won't be disappointed if you're comparing it to a previous experience with a garden tractor.

I used a couple of 20HP garden tractors before getting my BX, and there's definitely quite a difference. I agree that from what you describe, the BX sounds like it'd do just fine. But, I think it's still important to know that a BX isn't meant to compete with construction equipment, but rather a shovel and a wheel barrow. :)

It doesn't sound like you will be working in areas that require more clearance, and the BX is designed for the kind of chores you expect to complete. The B2x20 series will push harder, pull more, and hold up a little better for continuous heavy use. I would by the BX if mowing is your primary task, and the B if other things are going to make up most of it's use. The B is a little heavier, but still no heavier than many ZTR mowers. You will find that the BX needs more RPM than you are used to for loader work, etc. but they are designed for that.

I bought mine thinking it was a diesel powered glorified lawn tractor. I wanted a mower with a small loader for snow. I was very wrong. It is a downsized tractor. It mows and brush hogs fantastically.
The loader is very capable for its size. The key words "for its size". I believe it will do what you describe very well. If you have bigger machines you may feel like its slow. The hydraulics will be much slower than a larger machine. And it will only lift 500#. Other than that, it should be fine. I would not hesitate to do any of the tasks you are asking of it. The mid mount mower speed and quality ( both cut and build) rival and exceed many walk behind commercial machines I have used.

My first Kubota or any tractor was a BX2200 MMM FEL I bought 4 years ago. I thought they were a high priced mower but they are a tractor that is also a great mower. It did so much that I decided I needed the next size up so traded 3 years ago for a B7800 FEL 6'RFM which has higher ground clearance and a bit faster with jobs. Then bought a BX1500 54"MMM for wife to help me mow. Traded B for a L3240HST a few weeks ago then traded BX1500 for a BX2350 60MMM last week to do my mowing with. Have 3 acres hill side rolling terrain with rocks still to be moved and dirt to be moved. Your L and M will do anything heavy you need to do so to me the BX is what you need. They now have a 26HP BX but I did not go for it for the difference in money. Figure my L will do anything beyound the BX2350's ability.

You are a perfect candidate for a BX, having the other tractors avaliable for the heavy tasks. The BX will mow your lawn and do the "tight space" jobs for you.

It is a real tractor. You will not be able to lift the heavy FEL loads that you can with your big tractor, but you can do many of the same things on a smaller scale.

A BX with a backhoe can do what any other one can, except dig effectively in the hardest of true hardpans and excavate big stumps.

A small but heavy duty brush hog on a BX will cut anything that a bigger one would. I run a 40" HD Gearmore on my BX2200 and it cuts 14' high weeds and clusters of 2" thick sapplings.

I have the B7510 that is only one step up in size from the BX. If your primary use for the FEL is to clean stalls and move feed you will be very happy with it, but for snow removal, it would depend on the length of the area you want to clear. Other then that it will make all the chores you mentioned a breeze that you use to have to do with a shovel and wheelbarrow and got tired doing. Like most of us I think even you would be surprised how much that little thing can handle. If you get it I'm sure you will be able to use it for some of the very small tasks that you do with the bigger machines. I guess it would be like putting a Leatherman tool/knife on your belt next to a machete.

That's a perfect description. Both will do the job but each one is so much better for certain jobs. I love that description!!!
