BX2350 Loader Attachment Problem

This is a frequent question from new users and it puzzled the heck out of me the first time too. I don't remember if I figured it out myself or if my farmer neighbor showed me how to solve it. Probably the latter.

For a newbie, the problem does not seem self evident because you are following the steps in the manual correctly and I know that my manual says nothing about this. It is simple to fix once you know what it is. It seems like the manuals would have at least a footnote on what to do if the lines won't connect.

Ken, your service guy was both right, and wrong. When you take the loader off, shut down the tractor, and cycle the loader joystick through it's full range of motion a few times before disconnecting the hoses. That will relieve the pressure on the hydraulic lines. Sometimes, however, if you store the loader in the sun, or the hoses warm up, pressure can build back up in the lines a bit. You can relieve it as the service guy did, wrap a heavy rag over the end of the line, and tap that ball with a plastic hammer, or just wait for the hoses to cool down some later in the day. It is only a problem now, and then, and you will get used to it, and knowing how to avoid it. Go ahead, and take that loader off when you want!

That's all it is. A full motion movement before disconnecting the lines and don't leave it in the sun!

Once you have the FEL disconnected from the tractor, back the tractor away a bit, shut it off, and move the control lever through all of its functions. Once that is done, remove the hydraulic lines, and the pressure should be relieved. Thats how I do it with my BX 24, it works every time
