Hi all,
First post to this great site - thanks for all the great information.
Looking to purchase my first tractor for the following:
- Cutting down that part of 3 acres of grass/pasture (i.e. not lawn) that our horse doesn't eat - probably only once per month
- Periodic moving around of materials (bark mulch, soil, gravel)
I am therefore looking for a tractor with a FEL and a 4' rear cutter and was looking at a BX2350 but the dealer suggested I also consider the B7510. His reasoning was that although it is slightly less HP it has greater 'raw' power (torque?) as it has a greater displacement engine and also greater ground clearance.
Price wise it would probably cost me about CAD$2,000 more than the BX. The other option would be the B7610 at around $3,000 more than the BX.
Has anyone else been through this same consideration or have any views on the advantages/disadvantages of the BX versus either of the two Bs?
Incidentally, the dealer also said that if I did still favor the BX that he still had a BX2230 that he could let me have for around $1,000 less than a BX2350 as it was 'last years model'.
Are the significant differences between the 2230 and the 2350 or just cosmetic?
Thanks again to everyone that has boosted my knowledge of tractors from 0/10 to 5/10 very rapidly.
