So which is safer? (not discussing giving Jr. a ride...I'd do and have done the same thing) Having the springs, hydro, and foot pressure slow the machine down as it apparently does no my machine? Or have this retarded artificial "brick wall" mechanism built into the reverse portion of the transmission?

Regarding Jr.: The wife doesn't like me giving the kids a ride too much (odd time with one on the knee at 0.5 MPH to get the mail or something). She is real touchy about leaking children...I'd have been in the doghouse for a week. Thanks for the heads up on something to avoid, Mr. Phil. With all our collective knowledge, perhaps we can keep each other out of trouble.
