BX2380
Against my better judgement (instead of a Cyclone Rake) I am getting a grass catcher for my new BX2380.

That said, once mounted, I cannot easily swap to a ballast box or other implement for FEL ballast.

For those of you with a bagger, what are you doing for ballast? I believe the bagger unit weighs 160 or so.

Thanks

Don't use any ballast, I have BX1880. The MMM is about the same weight and my rear tires are filled. I've cautiously mowed a steep embankment (rops up of course) and it didn't roll backward.

I've been happy with it. Vacuums up leaves well as grass. Once I put it on for the summer, rarely take it off. Its decent ballast for the loader. If you routinely use other rear implements like box blade, etc then you might get annoyed. Its a bit tricky to get on and off especially the first few times I tried. I can recommend some tips that will help.

You can urn the top link to lean the bagger a considerable amount to buy yourself as much length as possible this makes it much easier to detach the PTO. Also, extend the legs down then use the turnbuckles to lower it all the way to the ground. Once the weight is off, pull the pins attaching the turnbuckles to the fixed mounts. Now you can easily move the arms off the cat 1 pins which detaches the bagger. This makes life much easier.
