BX24
I have a quick question for those who have used the setup in the title. Once the blower is unhooked can the mid PTO kit and quickhitch stay on the tractor?? What about with the loader and BH on?? I dont have a mower anymore so thats not an issue. I'm due to pick it up this weekend from someone and was just wondering. Anyone know how hard they are to install the first time??

Thanks
Jim

On my BX23 I did take off the snow blower and left the quick hitch on, however you need to remove hyd lines to attach to loader. You will have a little less ground clearance though it should not be a issue on flat surfaces as a blacktop driveway.Real easy to swap out, but make sure you receive owners manual, It's a work saver, good luck with your Kubota, great tractor.

Thanks devilDog, I've been using the loader up until now for snow removal but it takes over an hour with a deep snow to clear the driveway so when the oportunity reared its head I grabbed it. This will probably cut my work time in half. Even though I love the seat time doing it in 10-20 weather and windy just isn't for me. I'll log extra hours in the spring instead. How hard are they to install for the first time?? He has all the paperwork and hardware with it.

Not that difficult to install, pretty straight forward. The "nuts" the T-bolts screw into are kind of odd but they do work. I have the quick hitch on a BX2350. I use with the 60" blade for snow removal. I comes with all hardware, hoses, hydraulic cylinder, fittings, paperwork etc.

Keyman1808,
installation is a breeze on the BX Tractors, as a said follow the manual, when removing FEl (Loader) make sure after tractor is shut down you bleed off all pressure from the Hydraulic system, ( move your joy stick in all directions) that makes it easy to swap out the hoses for each attachment with no air in system to hinder your swap.Snow is suppose to moving into your area tonight. Have fun, the BX ROCKS! DevilDog

If you leave the quick hitch on, the loader will make contact with it when down and flat. Not a problem for a quick job but you wouldn't want to leave it like that off season.

The driveshaft also hangs low in the middle.

If you have the loader on, you really should have a grill guard installed and the mounting area is the same as the quick hitch.

The manual says not to leave the quick hitch on when installing the loader. Having said that, there is no good reason to leave it on because it comes off quickly and easily and the main mount brackets do not have to be removed. I'm assuming the setup here is the same as what I am enjoying on my B.

I would take it off when not in use. The Loader and all attachments are easy to take on and off. Blower works great! I have had it two years now. Just got a cab to work this year and will post photos of it soon. Nice to be out of the blown snow....
