Anyone know what the lift capacity to full height @ the pivot pins are on the BX24 with the LA240 loader is?

I'm trying to compare specs with different machines and I can't do a fair comparison if I'm not comparing apples to apples.

Thanks!!

750 lbs.

Where do you get the 750lbs number. The BX Loader specs shows at 19" forward as 550 lbs. The B7510 lists capacity a pivot point as 770lbs. I'm surprised the BX loader would perform as close to the Bseries. The lift capacity of the BX has been my big concern over the unit and has me considering larger machines. Has anyone heard of having the BX not do the job. I heard from a competing dealer that he saw a BX break it's front axle by being overloaded. It was a competing dealer, so that story is suspect.

Page 8 of Operator's Manual.

Lift Capacity (bucket pivot point max. height) 750lbs.
Lift Capacity (bucket pivot point 1500 mm height) 827lbs.
breakout force (bucket pivot pin) 1415lbs.

The lift height is also an inch or so higher than the little B's

Not bad for a baby tractor.

Main advantage of little B's is ground clearance. Tractor weight of BX24 is actually almost 200lbs. heavier than a 7610 due to extra frame reinforcement for backhoe.

Thanks for the info. Why doesn't Kubota list the pivot point spec instead of the 19" forward spec. The 550lbs number is a real turnoff. The 750lb number is realistic. You would think that after all this time in the US, kubota would learn we like big numbers.

For me, I'd rather see the 19" spec used by all. It's a more realistic number because I doubt anyone would be lifting much without the bucket.

Ditto. Show both for direct comparison with competitors that show the unrealistic number.

Note that Kubota gives the 3PH capcity for the BX1850/2350 both at the lift point and 24" behind the lift point...for most applications, you will be 18" to 30" behind the lift point with the mass of the implement, so this is a far more accurate way to describe the capacity.

Similarly, the 19" number on the FEL is by far a better number, especially for this class of tractor which doesn't normally come with a QA on the front, nor do most purchasers lust for one. Well, they may lust for one, but they won't spring for one. If you're looking for grapples, hay spikes, forks, and other front attachments, you'll probably be looking for a larger tractor. The BX is happiest on 1 to 4 acres where you don't get into such needs to a degree that justifies the expense/complication/space/etc. IMHO.

Allow me to correct the thought on my last post. I would like all companies to use same specs. Most use the Pivot point, so Kubota's forward spec seems low. I agree with Keith, same numbers for straight comparison

How much dirt will the loader bucket of the bx24 hold ?

From memory, my BX25 bucket (same loader) is rated at 5 Cubic Feet struck and 6 CF heaped. Again, from memory but those numbers should be pretty close if not right on.
