Kubota BX24
After moving some rocks and dead trees around this morning, I parked the BX24 to get some lunch. When I returned I had a nice puddle of hyd fluid under the tractor. The leak is coming from a split o-ring on one of the giant bolts on the hyd manifold(?) for the FEL under the battery. ( hope that made some sense ) Does anyone know if these are just o-rings I can get at the hardware store ? The dealership closes at noon on Sat and won't be open til Monday. If so, does anyone know what size ? I can take the one with me and try to match it but if someone knew the correct size it might make it easier.

Thanks for any help. This is a great site ! It's hard to believe how much I've learned here in the last two months.

THANKS !
Rob

Here are two pics. They may be better than my description  The o-ring was between the bolt head and the hydraulic thing. I guess they are banjo bolts (?)

Here is the actual o-ring. It looks and feels like an ordinary o-ring.

Thanks for any help !

I'd sure try a hardware store O-ring--at least it might keep ya going until the Kub dealer is open. I looked at the Kub parts book and they don't give O-ring dimensions unfortunately, I have several O-ring kits that I bought on sale for cheap at Harbor Freight. Might want to pick one up to keep on hand for just such "emergencies".:)

Thanks Skyco. This is my first tractor and it sounds like a good idea to have some extras on hand. I can see some of the other o-rings squishing out from under the bolt head that might need replaced.

I also asked in the parts/repair forum and before I had a pic of the o-ring it was thought it would be a bonded-seal. Would that be better to use here or are they for different applications ?
