Really considering purchase of BX24 and was looking for opinions. Good or bad? Looks like good size for my needs. Thanks

Key words are MY NEEDS?? i have a BX 22 had it for about four years. It is a tough little machine and is 100% reliable. Never been to the shop. i use it everyday for stall cleaning arena maintenance ect. i have dug hundreds of feet of trench. Best machine I ever owned.

The only complaints I remember hearing so far are plastic fenders breaking (reportedly fixed now), "slam-stop" condition from hydro when letting up on pedal when in reverse, 1/4 inching valve on 3PH not preferred by some owners. Otherwise seem to be excellent as the '22 and '23. I'm closing in on 1000 hrs in 2.5 years on my '23, and done just about all there is to do with it, no probs of any importance, one tough mochine, best purchase I ever made.

The BX24 has more plastic than its predecessors. However, it remains a great little workhorse.

Its got my vote. Mine arrived a few days ago, and I'm real happy. I felt like passing out cigars at work. BTW, this is my first post too. TBN is an excellent resource. I used its search engine to answer my pre-purchase questions, and I've also received information directly from a TBN member.

I'll be using it for stump removal, ditch digging, foundation repairs, building a retaining wall, mowing and probably other things that haven't yet occurred to me.

Pics attached. I won't have a proper shed until next year, so I've parked it in my 1.5 car garage for now. Having two subcompacts (tractor and car) really helped.

Everything sounds good so far. Have 3 acres and want to do some minor work around, build my boys a trail for their quads, and keep over growth down.

Have you decided that the BX24 is the exact size that you are looking for? (I went through this debate myself recently). As for the detractors for this tractor I think they were all mentioned above. There are still a ton of things that are right on this tractor. Great reliability from everyone that I have talked to, and so on. Are you stuck on an orange tractor or are you considering other colors? How far are you into the decision process or just getting some info. I will be willing to share all of the info that I have found out when doing my subcompact tractor shopping. I just don't want to overwhelm you with information that may be totally worthless to you.

Hit me with what ever info you have, good or bad. Not set on BX24, just was first one I saw sized about right. Thanks

I don't know if you have run across it yet with your travels through the world of TBN, but I have put together a spreadsheet that compares the BX 24, the Massey Ferguson GC2310, and the JD 2305. All are subcompacts and similar in size and function. Happy reading, I left the prices blank so you can fill in your own. IF you want to know what I got for prices just PM me and I will tell you.

I think that I covered all of the specs that were imprtant to me, I can't say the spreadsheet is perfect, still a work in progress. Link from the thread where it was first posted.
