Kubota BX24
I'm new to list but I've been lurking for sometime. I've got a 2 year old BX24 on Bowen Island, BC which is used for snow removal, trenching, firewood and compost turning. The tractor came with bar tires, R1 not R4s as suggested in the Kubota sales info. The left front has a slow unfixable leak so I ordered a new tire and rim for $70 CAN and the dealer supplied an R4 tire. The dealer now informs me that there is only one pair of R1s in Canada and they must be ordered as a pair. I can order the pair or keep the R4 left front and buy an R4 right front. If I go to the R4s , I'll have R4 fronts and R1 rears. Can I run like this? R4 looks like a tougher tire but less aggressive and the R4 is the poplar choose...thanks for any advice

I'd stick with the R1s.
Don't recommend r4s on one end and r1s on the other end.

If you were closer I'd buy that R4 from you as mine has had a leak from day one and they can't seem to fix it. I would recommend the same type all the way around unless you never use 4wd.

Its the outside dia of tire after it is on wheel that would make a difference in equation here,if the outside dia is same as the r1 on other side than don't think there is a problem,if not than I wouldn't want to run it in 4wd??
