BX24 top speed

I have had my tractor for about 2 years. I have 200 hrs on it. I have noticed that the top speed has gotten slower over time. Has anyone noticed this before?

I notice this because I drive 1/2 mile down a road to get to a field.

Maybe....but I have a 2350 that is much faster and I can almost feel as if I can run faster than the 24 goes.

If it's really cold and windy.. mine seems faster sometimes.

Check your linkage. The end not connected to the pedal is a sort of stud with a ball socket. The stud can loosen up and get cocked at an angle which effectively reduced the travel.

After they did the fender mod on my tractor my pedal would lock up. Before I found the nut they dropped in the pedal well I found the loose linkage.

Do you have or could you borrow a GPS ? That's the only way I know to check how fast you'r going.

I checked the pedal....all appeared good. Maybe I need to adjust it so it is moving to its max limit. I am afraid if I do that than the tractor will creep when in the neutral location.

I just thought of something -- what if the HST tranny filter needs to be changed out , it could be plugged.

I tried that too.....new filter and fluid. I am little down on pressure (1800PSI) but I am not sure if pressure controls speed or if flow would control speed.

Ok - filter tried. 1800lbs sounds about right for the BX. Are you operating at WOT or what ?
