Bx25 boom lift

Hi all, starting to put together plans for my pole barn project. Gonna build a 40x63 with 14 foot side walls. Gonna do all but the concrete myself, planning to start in July and finish before winter. One thing I'm trying to figure out is getting the trusses up top. 40foot clear span truss, I think they weigh like 170lbs a piece. Anybody tried anything like this before with a bx25? Thinking off building a boom that slides on my fork to lift them. That's how I've always seen it done but with skidsteers. I had confidence this little tractor would do it, but I struggled the other day to move around an old 4.8chevy engine. Any Input appreciated.

Don't do it. Bx is too lightweight, loader might not lift it and the setup has too much leverage advantage.

My setup involved a Ford 4000 with loaded rear wheels and 500# rear blade. Hoist had an extendable boom an a lift cylinder. Trusses were room in truss design, under 300# each. A much heavier setup than what you're considering.

A SS is different than a tractor.

I'd rent a SS for that job OR a telehandler.

A FEL is meant for light tasks, especially on smaller machines.

I had my workshop, 40' x 60', 14' walls built about 4 years ago. Peak is 27'. Cheapest and safest way I found was to hire a local boom truck and a crew to set the trusses. Not a great expense, but for sure the quickest and safest way to get that task done. Took the crew about 4 hours to complete the job, then I was able to get on with the work that I was capable of, and doing it safely.

Another vote for do not do it. I have this setup on my B21 and it is already a bit beyond what I should have in terms of stability and safety. It is a larger tractor and smaller boom than what you have in mind.

That is why cranes have outriggers and telehandlers have massive low center of gravity weight. Don't do it. I know the limitations of my BX. Toyed around the idea of making a rear boom and outriggers; never materialized.
