Well I had my attempt at doing a fuel filter conversion on the BX. I used a filter assembly from the Grand L. You'd never believe what came out of my filter at 70 hours use. I show what came out of the filter in the video.

Here's a few photos.

Paul, early in the video you showed the worn out plow skid shoes from the 5740 snowplow. If you haven't already purchased new skid shoes what are your thoughts on replacing the skid shoes with some type of swivel wheel on each side? That way you wouldn't mark up/damage any driveways. Just a thought on my end. Also very nice video, I like how you actually show each step in your customization.

Finally, will we ever get to see "wifey" on video? C'mon Kathy what about it? Keep up the good work guys. Stanley

Paul excellent teaching video. Really like K's graphics. And glad you put a protector shield guard onto new filter assembly. Yes, a lot of work, worth the time to keep the diesel clean at all times. It will be interesting to see what comes out of my 50 hr. filter in about a dozen and half hours which should been soon if ever the snow stops, we are due for another one this weekend. Therefore lots of seat time at the computer. Darn.
Again, very much appreciate your work and teachings, excellent for us younglings.

John

That's Stanley. I don't think I've ever seen anything other than a skid shoe on a plow. It's about the only thing that could talk the punishment from dropping the blade, the down pressure, hitting things and wear. Those shoes have been on that blade for a very long time. I bought the blade new in 1994 and I don't remember replacing them. I might have once but I don't remember it. I don't have any damage from the in the driveway either so they do work well. I wouldn't even heed them if everything had pavement but our back property if not paved so they help keep the cutting edge up a bit.

Man I don't know. If there was anyone who hates a camera more than Kathy I've never met them
I don't like a camera much myself but still do it. She can be seen in the earlier BX vids last spring when we were running the chipper. ;)

Great work as usual Paul. :)

Thank you. :)

Thanks John. When I was installing the 3rd function set up on the tractor I was looking up at that filter think it looked a little dark on the inside so that's why I took it down and cut it open. For a small filter there was a lot of crap in there. Glad you like the video. I personally am not a fan of long videos but when I put out a short one last week we got a lot of people asking for the longer ones back. :confused3:
Oh well. As long as they're happy :D

Excellent job Paul. Your ingenuity always shines through.

Thanks Happy. Much appreciated.

Well the guard vid is up. It's only have as long as the filter vid so the conversion is officially completed ;)
