Hi, I just recently picked up a pretty clean BX 25 I believe it is a 2015. The previous owner did put new tires on and I noticed all of the rims were on the wrong way ( Spun around ) I got that corrected but I noticed one of the rear rims has 2 holes that are egged out and the other three appear fine. I remounted everything and torqued them to spec. What are your guys thoughts on this? The rims look new besides this issue.

Yeah I figured that, I'll take it off when i get a chance. I think if I just keep an eye on it i'll be okay, This machine isn't doing any big jobs.

Usually egg shaped holes on a rim is from it being loose and hogging out the holes. In this case I’d think just those egg shaped were loose and the others were missing. Just a guess on my part.

Yeah it is odd to me that only two are egged out and they probably are the two that were on studs. I am not overly concerned since there are three good ones and the power and speed of this machine is fairly tame. When I mounted the rims I used the impact to install and followed up with the torque wrench, I could not believe how loose they still were. I have never had them this far off using this method ( I am big on torquing things to spec ). A lot of people would have zapped them on and went about there day but these definitely not tight.

If the buggered holes are too wallered out for the nut to securely seat on the rim, then the holes need to be welded and the taper re-machined or you need to buy different wheels.

It'll catch the rim just not like the others, I am going to keep and I on it and if others start to egg I'll order new rims. I may take it to local metal fab guy and see what he thinks he could do to fix it.
