My manual came in a plastic bag hooked on a brass bar under the seat, which is a dumb, totally useless place to store the manual. It wouldn't have lasted a week in that spot, given rain, dust and the constant reversing of the seat for backhoe use.
The bigger issue is that it is lame in the extreme for Kubota not to provide a pdf manual that can be downloaded and printed so that you can have a manual you can actually use, or to have a second manual in case you misplace or wear out the first one. When you have grease and dirt on your hands, thumbing through the manual will ruin it in short order. Also, the pages don't lay flat when opened on a workbench or table.
I had to photocopy all 130 odd pages in order to put them in clear plastic sleeves in a 3-ring binder. IMO, this is the only way to have a really useful format for your manual. I keep this one with the tractor in the shed and the original in the house.

Its not really on the seat per se, its right on the gas tank. The plastic black cover that holds the manual goes under the bars over gas tank. I removed mine and put it in safe place in house. Knowing me, It will get ruined if left there under seat. Not sure why we really need it on the seat. If kubota would just give us a pdf files on flash drive, we would be all set.

Anybody happen to know if other tractor manufacturers do this routinely? Just about anything I buy nowadays offers this convenience as a download online!
I saw one of the new 25s the other day, and it has a hinged panel on the back of the seat. This was the first I had seen on a BX25, so I think they used up all the old style before they switched over. The plastic was a light gray on the new seat.

not yet, but I am sure hoping kubota is monitoring this thread to add to thier list of things to do
I did notice that too, just about anything I buy, there is a manual online we can download or just read online. heck even alot of the tractor implements we buy are online, even from the cheapo harbor frieght stuff is on line.
