I had the pleasure yesterday of adding the pedal as another thing that squeals when used. When I step on the pedal (to move forward) it squeals like I ran over a mouse or something. The first couple times (before I realized where it was coming from) I actually got off the tractor to look under it and behind it to see if there was an animal. The FEL and 3PH make the noise now even when not at full ROM or under full load and it even does it when raising the mower deck. Of course the noise only occurs after it has warmed up. However, I can't remember if the BH also squeals but I don't think it does, I will have to double check on that. Does anyone know if the JD 2305 has had the same problem or if it has been confined to Kubota? If this is only a Kubota issue I have to rethink my choice of tractors I am considering upgrading to.... B3200. Thanks, Scott

We have a BX2660 and John Deere 2305 and neither squeal, but I don't have a BH on either.

You have a leaking or sticking spool or a piece of debris stuck in the transmission fluid power system and or the main hydraulic system relief for sure and the oil is cavitating and creating air bubbles.

Yeah, I agree, that isn't normal. Something is not right with the machine.

This doesn't sound like a job for the 'Average Joe.' :mur:

Not unless you are very familiar with the crazy
transmissions/transverters these things use and
have a full shop of tools and good light.

You might just be lucky enough to find the suction line
for the hydraulic system is sucking air at the tube to hose
connection or pull the relief catridge and find a bit if a rag or a
broken relief spring and or poppet.

My only other thought are the transmission filter
and or hydraulic filter possibly being plugged
and bypassing if the system has a spring relief
bypass in the filter or the filter(s) are loose and
sucking air which is entirely possible.

FWIW the air bubbles will do a lot of damage from
what is referred to as "water hammer" as air is trapped
and being added to the oil flow continuosly and creating
a lot of cavitation wear in any control surface or regulator valve.

If you have an oil seep around the suction hose you have a bad suction hose
or a cracked piece of hydraulic piping.

I hope its only low on oil.

I am just about avarage enough to check the oil level and that's about it. I am sure I will be trying to find a way to get it to the dealer 20 min away and hopefully have them get the machine to recreate the noises. Of course it's been our of warranty for 3 months. Thanks for the replies on what it can possibly be.

disconnect and reconnect the power beyond loopback hose in back of tractor. If your squeal wasnt there before or much louder then before, then you may have a stuck poppet. happened to me once.
