Here is my story about my BX25D tractor and BX2570D front mount snowblower with electric chute rotation. I'm posting this incase someone else has a similar issue.
Last January the electric chute rotation motor housing disassembled itself with extreme prejudice.
I called my local Kubota dealer and enquired about replaing the electric motor with a hydraulic rotation kit since the electric was no longer in production. It was on back order and they'll let me know but it will be at least 8 weeks. So I needed a temporary fix to make the chute rotate. I built a wooden crank handle out of wood and attached the gear off the motor shaft and I was back in business, but I have a cab so every time i needed to rotate I had to shut off the pto, get out and crank the handle, and then climb back in to the tractor and reengage the pto.
After several calls and even a visit over the months it became September when they said that the hydro unit is out of production as well. My next option was to buy the parts that come in the kit seperate, but there were some parts listed in the kit that weren't available through parts. They looked like hardware kits but we couldn't be sure. And buying it through parts raised the price from $899 to $1,350. Lastly, there are no instructions or guides for installing the unit on the tractor. So I visited these forums and found a post that identified a part number for a power window motor that could be used to replace the old one. A trip to Ebay yeilded a motor for $50. I had to drill two additional holes because the holes didn't line up quite right and some #10 2" long bolts and I cut some small PVC bushings to set gear to the proper depth. I wired the thing up to the tractor and off she went.
I plan on adding some waterproofing before exposing it to elements. Hope this helps someome else , i'm sure it could be adapted to other similar models. And at $50 it's worth a try.
