i went with a loader mounted hydraulic unit on my tractor for several reasons. primary was issues with my neck (lots of old neck injuries and old age). the tractor i purchased did not have a mid PTO. they wernt even sure if i could add it at the time i purchased it..... could not find any info on it either online or thru the manufacturer. the tractor i purchased was last remaining of previous years inventory and WAY below price of new inventory. the only other option was a complete subframe with a complicated contraption to allow the rear pto to power a front device. way too many parts that could fail.

ended up costing me 2x what a subframe unit would cost, but i HAVE to be able to lift blower to clear roof shedding of snow that blocked horses out of barn, and other problem spots.

i DO NOT regret the purchase at all. that and a front plow have been in use now for 10 years.

it takes about 1.5 hours to attach all the hoses and parts, but then i can swap between bucket, plow or blower in a few minutes...as needed. and theres no subframe to worry about.

Sometimes information isn't as readily available as we would like to think it is. Whole goods price files are digital only and don't go back more than a generation or so. It's not like they can dust off a 10-12 year old hard copy and look up the components you think you want.
If you are coming off to them like you are here that isn't gonna help your cause. They know better than you that they can't help you without making a big project out of it with nothing in it for them.
I guess I am coming off harsh, apologizes, I didn't mean to, just frustrated that I can't even identify if what I want is even out there. No I didn't sound like that when I called the dealers and one of them says he will call me back so we will see.

I've cleared a lot of snow with a B2910 (essentially the same as your tractor) using a rear 3 point hitch snowblower. The FEL was used a LOT while clearing snow and in combination you can do a pretty good job with that setup. I would not have wanted to give up the bucket and loader in exchange for putting the snowblower on the front.

Besides what's been mentioned, I'll just add that, when the time comes, you can sell a rear 3 point snowblower for as much or more than what you paid for it. On the other hand, a front snowblower will cost about a third of what the tractor is worth and is not very marketable.

Just another opinion . . .

Another consideration, I'm not familiar with that front mount kit, but is the "manual chute rotation" accessible from the seat? It's hard enough to keep from becoming an instant snowman when blowing snow if the wind is wrong. Really need to be able to rotate the chute from the seat.

I'm assuming that you don't have hydraulic remotes, but an electric chute motor might be an option. It's absolutely essential that you can rotate the chute as needed.

Agree 100%. Even my old rear push snowblower on the John Deere had a hydraulic chute rotator. Used it all the time. Cranking one by Hand SUCKS

From what I understand manual is standard but I agree with you, I will be upgrading!

Correction , I think . . . I was thinking you'd be mounting the snowblower on the loader. Wrong. You're talking about a separate mount and then you could use the loader valve to rotate the chute. That would work.

Still lots of trouble . . . But good luck with it.

Sounds like you know what you want.

Having bought and sold a few of these, I know that if you watch for them and then strike while the iron's hot, you can get good deals.

If you're interested at all in a rear blower, check out the Woods 60" on CL in Columbus for $1500. That's about half price of new and it looks like new. With normal care, it will outlast all of us and our tractors. (WOODS SS60 SNOWBLOWER - $1,500 (Columbus))

That's a great deal if it's still available. Posted 3 days ago.

Edit -- meant to add, that's about the perfect size for your tractor. I had a Frontier / JD SB1164 (64" wide) and it was perfect.

The hydraulic chute rotation part number is B2774. I tried to find a front blower for my B2710 last winter, talked to quite a few dealers and only found one that had all the parts, that was Titan Machinery in Aberdeen, SD. It was $6800 and had the electric chute deflector. That was too far for me to go and too much to spend.
