Thanks for the help. I have tried the vacuum trick twice (after draining the tank and mopping up the fuel I could reach with a rag) along with fishing around with a rag attached to a wire. We'll see.
I also spliced in a T with a line running under the seat so I can blow air back through the tank without disassembling everything first. Hopefully that will at least get me through this season before I have to take the tank out.
I hope I didn't offend anyone, but there really has to be a better way for Kubota to do this. I am in the process of making a screen to place in the fill hole that should catch any stray debris. I'll post pics when I'm done and I know it works.
