my 2360 does the exact same thing. Been treated like a baby and every time I mow I lose rpms after a half hour or so. Mowing at 3000rpms in low gear as directed by manual. Always been serviced, changed all filters and fuel lines, cleaned tank out and have used filter over tank cap when filling with fuel, never ran the low grade farm diesel fuel in it. Always good diesel fuel. Still does this. The craziest thing I ever seen.

Hello all,

I need help!!! First off, my bx2660 has been nothing but problems. I have lost count at the number of fuel filters I have replaced just to keep it running, have taken tank off and cleaned, tried fuel additives, etc, but still have to constantly replace the filters. But, my reason for todays post is due to the pto; a few weeks ago while mowing the pto seemed to lose power eventually to the point that the mower stopped completely. Prior to this I had noticed that it was taking around 7 to 8 seconds for the pto to engage. The tractor has been serviced at recommended intervals with kubota filters and super udt; belts are new and tight and deck has been greased regularly as recommended. I again changed the hydraulic fluid, filter and cleaned the screen and the problem persists. It usually takes about 45 minutes of mowing before it loses power. An ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The tractor has about 360 hours on it.

If you are buying clean fuel and keeping it clean, then a fuel filter should last at least 400 hours without stopping up. Constantly having to change filters tells me that you are getting dirty fuel AND that you have not properly cleaned all the contaminates from your tank from the first time of contaminated fuel. You need to completely clean the tank, filters, fuel lines, fuel containers etc. and keep them clean
Off road fuel should be no different from on road other than the die. There should be no biodiesel in your fuel unless it is properly labelled as such regardless of whether it is on road or off road.

As far as your PTO stopping, that sounds like a job for a dealer to check out if you are sure the PTO shaft is stopping and not a slip clutch or belt slipping.

The OP said he just did a hydro service. Could there be a problem with the screen in the rear not installed correctly?
