I bought my BX2660 with about 250 hrs and now it has about 500. Changed the fluids and filters right after purchase. Always been used and parked in a clean environment. It was never what I would call fast, but now, it seems that the ground speed is only about 3mph. Last winter, it seemed like the fel was only operating about half the speed that it used to. I operate the tractor at about 3000 rpm and I think that it should be doing better. Of course I checked the hydraulic dip stick and it is still at full. Could it be just a matter of a clogged hydraulic filter? Hard to believe the fluid should be changed with only 250 hrs. I am reluctant to change the fluids and filter and then find that I still need to bring it to the dealer to have it all done again. Any advice?

It’s probably cheapest to change the fluid and filter. I’m not sure what the interval is but it’s probably due.

3 point lever stuck up taking all your pressure?

I doubt it is fluid & filters. 250 hours is nothing on good SUDT Kubota trans/hydraulic fluid & OEM filters. My book calls for 600 hr interval & I know many with higher.

It could be a suction air leak in the hose from the transmission up to the hydraulic pump. Look uder the tractor for a hose that is obviously oily. Especially a molded rubber hose with a molded bend in it. It may not be dripping, just oily. Known problem....

I'd consider a pressure gauge in the input line to the loader control. Amazon has kits.
Look at the pressure when using the tractor & then we will know more.

Hi Eagle. 3 point not stick but since you mention it, that seems slower too.

Like it was said above it is time for a pressure check. You down to low pressure or flow.

To r-Scotty's suggestion, air in the suction line will increase the pump "whine" and it will probably show an increased fluid level on the dip stick due to air froth in the oil after working the hydraulics. I had a suction line leak on my B26 a few years back that showed these symptoms with no signs of hydro leakage. After reading about issues with the rubber suction line elbow at the pump I decided to replace it. The parts guy and I were amazed when the order came in as a whole kit replacing everything from tank to pump. Based on the $40 price tag, clearly Kubota knew the B26 had a vibration/stress issue at the elbow and was quietly offering a whole redesigned replacement kit when the elbow was ordered. Turns out the elbow did have some hairline cracks that leaked air in since the line only sees negative pressure. Check your fluid for frothing after working the tractor hard - mine would pick up so much air that it leaked out of the dip stick tube.
