Is it possible to run a 60" tiller on a bx? Or am I asking for trouble?

I have a 40 inch one and probably could of went to a 60 inch , because I have never bogged down engine of my BX2660 . I suspect the only factor to check about using a 60 inch one would be weight of the unit compared to three point lift specs. But tillers (at least the residential or medium grade ones) are pretty light attachment anyway.
my vegatable garden is only 24 x 24 so a no need to spend money on bigger tiller .

I "believe" the manual recommends against anything over 42", but I use a 50" on our BX2200 as well as BX2660, I doubt power would be an issue in fairly soft ground, wet ground bogs mine down some.

Thanks for the info guys, I am looking at a used king kutter 60" for 900$ otherwise i would go smaller but it seems like a good deal.

While the BX has a Cat 1 3PH, the geometry of some Cat 1 implements don't fit well on them due to the small size of the BX. Several makers including KK make products designed for use on a SCUT.

I'll just give you my experience and you can judge. I have a L2800 and use a 48" King Kutter which is the size recommended in the book. I have a mixture of sandy and clay dirt and when its a little bit wet it will bog down my tractor.

We run a 60" on our B7500 which has less power than the BX2660. IMO, if it will run a 60" mower in heavy grass, it should be fine (power wise) with a 60" tiller.
Geometry may be another story, but power shouldn't be an issue.
Besides, you have HST, so you can go as slow as you want.
