BX2680 easy over mower pto lock question

New tractor owner and installing the 54" mid mower easy over deck. Everything went fairly smooth except I am not sure if the PTO lock is fully engaged. Attached is a picture of how I have it hooked up but it seems to me that the "tooth" on the black lock bar should be in the lever hole, not behind it? I tried using pressure but it doesnt want to go farther, which would seat it deeper on the splines? Is the tooth supposed to be in the hole? Thanks

I'm not sure but from the picture and design I would think it should go in the hole also. Maybe someone with that model can chime in and confirm yes or no.
