Adjusted it as you suggested and it works great!
Set it on a 4x4 to maintain the PTO shaft as straight as possible!
Thanks for the input as my gap was above 1/8 inch!

Any chance you would mine giving us a retail price on that chipper (Not askin what you paid)? and how big of a brach will it take.

One more thing - Is there any sort of emergency shut off if you are operating by yourself? Didn't think about an accidental snag until I read your post but man that aint the way to go!

I think I paid around $2400 for mine delivered. The BX42 has a 4"X6" opening, and will easily handle anything that will fit.

Thx. - Does the "mulch" look nice enough for landscaping ro do you compost it in some way - I have a lot of limbs I have been burying and pushing back in the woods - (chipmunks etc love them brushpiles - we use to never see rabbits but have tons now).

I have composted some chips but it depends upon how much bark is in the chips. I have even pointed the output chute to my shredder input and it bags the output and allows me to mix leaves, bark, pine cones and twigs to make a landscaping mix. :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:
