harry, got your email- have a few more questions-some might find interesting?
am about to put a spyker electric spreader on the front of my bx. (have a uniquely configured property, and at least initially, i'd like to spread and spray- looking where i'm going / simple me!) will i be able to mount your sprayer on the front also? with proper hitch and carryall base.?
is you sprayer connected via alligator clips to the battery or the accessory plug underneath the operator seat? how long are the wire leads from sprayer tank pump to power source? how is it turned on and off? is there a switch? the spyker will come with a foot pedal to control it's operation.
are nozzles interchangeable to make different size and spray patterns?
are the bucket hooks the same size for both the bx1850 and bx2350?
lastly, do you offer any kind of discount on purchases with multiple items on the order . . . thanks for your time and attention, shrekbelly

Hi Shrekbelly, Good questions, let's see if I can give you some answers.

The Quick-On sprayer setup is designed to go on the rear. I'm sure a front mounted system could be easily done. Having said that, with a front mounted boom sprayer, the operator and the tractor would be driving into any mist from the boom spray. Some of the chemicals such as RoundUp and fertilizers are somewhat corrosive and obviously not particularly good for you or your tractor. A front mount for use just with the wand could be easily accomplished that could let the rear mount tank be moved to the front.

The boom is barely wider than the tractor so it is quite maneuverable. You can back in to the tight spot, turn on the sprayer and drive out. I have a pretty irregular property as well. If you can get through it with your MMM or FEL the sprayer is much narrower.

The sprayer cord is 8' long. It comes standard with battery alligator clips but we supply a very easy to install cigarette lighter style plug with this model. On request, we can provide bullet connectors to plug into the existing "worklight circuit" just behind the seat instead of the lighter plug. The sprayer will be used for other tractors that don't have the accessory outlet.

There is a rocker style switch approximately 28" from the battery clip ends. We provide a piece of double side adhesive Velcro that can be used to mount the switch wherever you like. Using the battery clips, the switch can be mounted on the right side of the instrument panel. Using the power outlet. the switch can be mounted next to the 3 pt hitch controls. The sprayer has a 2 pole trailer light style plug about 12" from the pump. Unplug here and the wiring can be left in place on the tractor.

The boom nozzles we use are standard, readily available, and are designed for even application. The nozzles must be set at a specific height to give even coverage. I don't think there would be any reason to change nozzle styles. Like most sprayers, the fluid application rate is controlled by the speed of the tractor. Higher speed; fewer gallons per acre. Lower speed; more GPA. The spray pattern evenly covers 80" width. The boom could be readily extended and 1 additional nozzle added for a total width of 120". Adding 2 additional nozzles would take the width to 160". The wand has an adjustable tip.

To the bucket hooks: The bucket hooks attach to the top of the bucket. The BX1850 uses a slightly shallower bucket than the BX2350. I think the top of the bucket is identical and the hooks / forks will fit. I have not found a BX1850 in the area to confirm the fit so I don't have a definitive answer right now. Same lack of confirmation situation exists for the BX22, and BX1500. We hope to have those answers soon.

Sorry, we are not able to offer discounts for multiple item orders. We have priced the items as competitively as we can and I could never keep up with multiple pricing. The advantage in multiple item orders often shows up in shipping costs. We combine shipping whenever we can. ie: bucket hooks essentially ship free with the BH dolly or sprayer because of the package size. The Seat bag will ship free with anything.

Also, keep in mind that any spray applied with a front mounted boom will enable the tires to becomes soaked in the fluid after a few passes. This will be tracked to potential unwanted areas. Probably less critical with insecticides than with roundup type herbicides.
