I wasn't sure whether to post this here or on the general hydraulics page, but this is a Kubota-specifc question so here it is. Does anyone have a hydralic schematic for the BXxx50/BX24 line? I found a thread some time back that had a PDF of the BX23 schematic, but there seems (I think) to be a few differences.

In particular, based on that BX23 schematic, the FEL spool valves seem to be arranged in a power beyond arrangement, whereas on my BX2350 I can remove the FEL and the 3PT still works even though it is downstream from the FEL.

My goal is to ID a place where I can get a pressure reading at the 3PT. The FEL valve would be a convenient place to pressure test but I'm unsure whether that would give me what I need. Any input would be appreciated.

If the FEL valve stays with the tractor it is a power beyond system and you can tee into the pressure line to get a reading.

Thanks Oldnslo. That makes perfect sense. I should have thought about what I wrote before I wrote it. Maybe the BX23 and BX24 hydraulics are more similar than I thought.

Not sure about the BX23 & 24, all I have is the 1850 and it is plumbed in series.

Well, on my bx24 the 3 pt rises slowly or stops fel with attachment on 3 put when trying to use both same time.this tells me it's in series.is there a particular problem you want to check or solve?

Thanks for the replies. I trying to find the most practical place to tee into the hydraulic system to get a pressure reading. The purpose is to help troubleshoot an issue where the 3PT relief valve squeals like crazy when trying to slowly raise the 3PT by moving the lever only partially towards the raise position (full raise position works fine). I have a separate thread on the General>Hydraulics page for this topic and J_J suggested getting a pressure reading.

It definitely appears like the FEL and 3PT are in a power-beyond arrangement. The return line is even connected to a port labelled "PB Port" on the FEL valve installation instructions.

I'd like to tee into either the pump line or PB line for the FEL valve but the pipes are rigid and I do not see any easy way to do that without cutting the pipes.

Your relief is going to operate when trying to feather the 3PH. These little tractors do not a sophisticated 3PH valve. It is a basic directional valve similar to what is used on the FEL. Fixed displacement pump means the oil is going to go somewhere or some thing is going to break. Gauge will help confirm this.

Like what oldnslo said, I think that is normal. When I had a BX25 mine would squeal after when I used my BoxBlade and tried to use the quarter inching technique (or feathering it). It sounds like a loose fan belt on a car or something. Actually was rather embarrassing haha.

So I talked to my dealer and he said it will do that when taking it easy on the lift, but that it was just the relief valve. so after that I just never really "feathered" it anymore. I did wonder about the pressure though, but it only had like 50 hours on it when I started to use the 3PTH, so I figured I would just listen to my dealer. He is a good bloke and never steered my wrong.

I hope that helps, or at least puts your mind at some ease. BXPanded sells a gauge for the BX series if you still need to check the pressure.

First thing after the pump is a flow divider that has the power steering as priority and as throttle increases flow excess to what the power steering needs is diverted to the loader and then downstream to the 3Pt hitch.

Thanks for the responses. Unlike the 3PT, the FEL works very smoothly when between center and one of the movement positions. I guess Kubota spent more R&D resources developing that valve unlike the 3PT.
