It's not that I don't like the 3000, it has ps, LPTO, and a FEL, and I have a new KK bush hog and a new Kiota box blade. The main reason I would sell it is the fact that I rarely use it and the C is a lot cheaper, and I could use the money that the 3000 would bring. Then the C would do all the scraping I would need and I could pull a mower with it much cheaper that way.
Besides the C has character, later, Nat

You have to be carefull using that type of 3PT Hitch on the C. As you know you are limited to how good of a hydraulic block you have and also the rod that runs down by your legs to the rear axle is key. Folks have bent them up pretty bad when things bind up in the back (like with a bushhog on). If I were you, I'd still try and do the the 3pt, but be careful on how much you try to lift with it. You might want to consider a pull behind mower rather than the 3 pt (or don't try and lift it too high at any time). You should also try and put some weights on the front of the tractor, as sometine it can get very light. PS: don't forget you need to get an over-running coupler for your PTO! Another note now that you have painted her up: Did you change the transmission gear oil???I have found on my stuff that it does wonders and is a simple thing. Bobg in VA

Those little C's and their spinoffs, (Super, 200, 230) were some of the nicest machines to roll out of IHC's factories. They were (are)a pleasure to operate and extremely reliable. I would take on in a second. Too bad IHC introduced the 2PH 10 years too late!!! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Well, as promised here are some pics of the 3PH. I finished it today and hooked my box blade up and started when the rain also started. It seems to work great, except it is a little too fast unless you really take your time with the control. Here is a pic from the back

I had to run 2 lift bars from the touch control back to the rockshaft and they needed to be offset down so they wouldn't be in the way of your feet when driving the tractor. I used 2 X 1/2" flat bar. The factory rear lift uses 2 straight 7/8" rods, so I figured the flat bar would be ok.

I had to make my rockshaft. I used 2" sch 40 pipe. It lifts from each side so the pipe is a lot stronger than needed, but that's what I had.

I kept a close watch on the cost and I have 98.00 in the steel, plus a couple pieces that were laying around. The weld on drawbar ends were 24.00 from Valu-bilt. The adjustable lift arms were the most expensive thing I bought. Those, and the pins and a couple grade 8 bolts were 92.00. Total cost in the 3PH was 214.00 I already had some blue paint, so that isn't factored in. All in all I am pleased whit it, it looks good and seems to work good, I'll get used to the speed of it and am pretty happy.
This is the left side lift arm and you can see it doesn't get in the way of mounting, or of the clutch . Later, Nat

That is a really nice fabrication job!
My uncle used to have a white demonstrator with a 3PH. He said it was from the factory, but I never saw any literature to substantiate that. His 3PH was similar to yours. I think his "C" was a 1950. I know it was painted white. I wishhe had kept it, because i think it might be worth something today. It had some faded decals on it pointing out the touch control and some other things I don't recall.

I had a fast-hitch on my 200. It came with a 3PH converter, much similar to John Deere's Imatch. It was OK for some things, but like the Imatch, not everything fit. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
