Cab for 2520

   / Cab for 2520 #11
Although I've never had a desire or need for a cab, when looking for a new tractor last year I couldn't help but be fascinated by an orange B3030 tractor with full climate controlled cab (meaning with A/C). This is basically the same size as my 2520, but with 3.5 more HP and the optional cab. I have no idea of the cost but would hope Deere is taking a really good look at this from a marketing perspective.

what would you recomend in the 3000 series that is like a 2520 with a cab?

I've reviewed several cabs and this appears to be one of the nicest looking. I just priced one, from the link provided above, for my NH with a few options and it came to 5k. But as stated there is no air. I have priced air on other models and the air units were over 2k for the air alone. I'm personally torn regarding cabs. I'm looking for a new tractor, and have been looking at the Kubota B3030 and the Deere 3320, but both dealers indicated that they have trouble selling these units because of the problems people have with low branches and mowing around trees. The Kubota dealer really wanted to move the B3030 cab unit on his lot and I almost bit, but the B3030 does not come with a quick attach front bucket. And the cab adds so much to the cost that I can get a bigger tractor (isn't bigger always better :D ) for the added cost. Still looking though and continue to like the look of the NH Boomers.

John Deere already does offer a 2320/2520 with a cab. Problem is it's in Ireland and the UK and doesn't have A/C.

20 Series CUT

This was on another thread and a dealer commented that they didn't think the 2320/2520 market would be big enough to justify putting a larger engine in it for the AC (Heat doesn't take much, no compressor and just a little power to run the fan).

I for one love my 3720 cab and would trade in my 2305 for a 2320/2520 cab in a heartbeat if they offered one in the US. If they had a good enough ventilation system I might even buy one without A/C.

I was also interested in a aftermarket cab for my 4310, but it seems that some of our fellow form members advised me that those cabs are quite loud apparently:( . Same thing for curtis cabs too, but both can provide a heater for the winter:). I would not mind for the snow plowing, but AC would be so nice in the summer! Makes me wanno go for a 3x20 cab with hub extenders for stability improvement. - very top heavy abnd cg is very high, so they tend to be pretty "tippy" b4 you add the 800 buck:eek: hub extenders.

Nuru:

I have a 4+ month old 3720 cab and it's as sweet as I thought it would be. (Traded in my open 3320). I also about a month ago got 6" wheel extensions and run them on my R3's for about a 67" wheel width in the NARROW position. I used to run 59.xx" with R4's in the WIDE position. If I flipped the R3's to the wide position I'd be about 72" wide.

They make a great deal of difference in the stability of the machine and I've been pleased with them.

Orlo, sorry it took so long for me to get back. Yep that soulds real common among the 3xxx Owners

The units look very good and would definitely be very good in the winter! I am still thinking about it. If I get really lucky and find a super deal, I would think about it.

Are of even legal age to vote? Come on you have beating this horse to death already -you are years away from a purchase, asking about things that may not be around when you are ready - so why have everybody jump up and down and sideways answering fake questions? First its pictures, then its cabs, then its lights, then its in a few years after some cosmic event - what the heck?
I dunno ever get the feeling your chain has been pulled?
