Cab for a 2210

   / Cab for a 2210 #11
I once had a garden tractor with a front snowthrower and a soft cab. the soft vinyl windshield could be a pain in the **** to keep clear of snow but having that cab was 10,000 time better than having nothing. (should have seen me snowblowing in a snowsuit and helmet one year) where I lived it was windy with windchills down to minus 50. At least that's how it USED to be in south Minnesota about 20 years ago. IF it ever snows in Minnesota again and I decide to put a blower on my 2210 I will definitely have a soft cab.

Ken the delivered price was $930.00. That price includes the cab, glass windshield, electric wiper & shipping. It did not add anything to the heigth. The cab is just a little shorter than the roll bar. The heigth of the cab was a concern before I placed the order. I did not think I would be able to get the tractor in my utility barn after I installed the cab. Last summer I had raised the door header all I could just to clear the roll bar. I had about 1/2" of clearence between the header & roll bar. I thought I would have to store the tractor in the pole barn that is alot farther from the house. I just tried putting it in the utility barn & it fit fine. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

chevy,

That is sweet! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Let us know about your operating experiences: does it fog/ice up, how is getting in and out of it, how does the wiper work etc.

<font color="green">Thanks for posting the pictures chevy. Of course now that you are all set to go for the next big snowstorm in eastern Indiana the rest of the winter will probably be mild! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

chevy,

Where exactly did you get the CAB from?
Do you have a manufacturer and model number for us?
I am seriously in need of this here in VT. It is COLD out there and the wind just cuts thru the goggles and up your sleeves... well I don't need to tell you guys. 1000' of road is not bad but doing the driveway and all the corners makes it brutal.

Happy New Year! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I got the cab direct from the maufacturer, Original Tractor Cab. There phone number is 765-663-2214. They do sell through dealers, although I did not ask for names. I just felt I could get it quicker by ordering it direct. The model number is the tractor you are installing in on.

Did you get a heater with it?

Today I finally got a chance to move some snow with my 2210 since I installed the Original cab. We did not have enough snow to use it with the snowblower. I had to use the blade. The cab was great, although it took some getting used to the limited veiw. The temperature was 18 degrees. I stayed warm the whole time. I do not have a heater. The only time I had any fogging was right after I backed out of the barn. While I was waiting for the engine to warm up I opened both doors. I plowed for about 1 1/2 hours without any other fogging. I believe the cab is well worth the cost. Maybe we will get enough snow before winter is over to use it with the snowblower. I will not be disappointed if we do not.

I have had the hard top cab for a 425 for 3or 4 winters I LOVE IT
like he was saying Orginal tractor delivered the next day , easy to put on or take off .
This yr I bought a Coleman Golf cart heater at Walmart
3500 btu works great
made some brackets and bolted the holder up next to the front glass winshield never had a problem at 10 above I was plowing snow with no gloves on
Just bought a 2210 w/FEL belly mower and front blade Now seeing which way to go another cab from Orginal Tractor or the Curtis w/ soft doors.
About $700-800 different in price
Also for added safety
take a 18 " of 1/2 steel tubing smash about 1-1 1/2 in of the end shut drill a 1/4 hole throught that
then gently bend a half circle starting at the smashed end and then drill a hole through the other end add a mirror at the hole
and attach to the bolt at front of hard top

Just besure you bend the pipe NOT ATTACHED TO THE CAB AND WHEN YOU MAKE THE BEND BE SURE IT WILL MOUNT TO THE CAB

Good luck
