Maybe we need a new thread about cab ideas for the PT-425!!??!!

How about some fresh ideas about enclosing the PT-425?

For Winter comfort? For Summer comfort? Glass? Screen? Heated? A/C? Tinted glass? Drink holders? Toilet? Stereo? Masseuse?

Hi Fourteen. I've been following you all on here a long time, but this is my first attempt to respond so I hope it comes through okay. You wanted a cab for a PT-425, how about this? Here is his big brother with a cab. Any questions, TraderRalph.

What did you do with the telephone?? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

That yellow is a nice bright change from JD Green!! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

PS: Do you have any problem attracting bugs? When I was considering a yellow Jinma tractor, a guy from CA advised me to get any color but yellow because the bugs were always buzzing around him like crazy when he used his yellow Jinma!! I bought a PT-425 instead, but have wondered about his anti-yellow comments!!

Hey fourteen, This slope mower was sold to the state of New York. (Safety being the reason for the yellow)
The martin cab company of Cleveland Ohio designed, built, installed the cab. They also had the air conditioning unit put on. They will be glad to build any cab for any unit. You can have them build & install or just design & build, then let you install if you are able to. I have built & installed cabs & air conditioning for my own units in the past.
Go to : http://www.martincab.com and you can check them out & get your contact information!
Thanks for listening,
TraderRalph

Several companies will costom make steel or canvas cabs for PTs or any machine. Our local auto upholstry shop will make a canvas cab for anything, I expect most others around the country will do the same. A 425 canvas cab with lexan windshild was $700.

I realize that there are companies all across our great country that are in business to make money, there are several companies that will make & install all types of cabs, anything from cloth with clear plastic for window ($700.00). All the way to a cab that has been designed with life saving roll over protection, with safety glass for windows, with heat and air conditioning etc. (a lot more than $700.00) I know of several companies (and I have their cab on one of my toy's) that do this.
Someone had said they would like some information on cabs for the PT tractors. So for my debut to adding my 2 cents worth to this forum I attached one of several pictures that I have along with the information. Since no one seems to appreciate my input, this will be my last attempt to join in with your closed group. I appologize if I have done anything wrong!
Thanks for listening.

TraderRalph - I have read many posts and learning about a company that makes custom cabs was good news for me. I have a kioti ck20hst (got it a couple of weeks ago after waiting for it since March!) but a PT425 was the other unit that most interested me. I live in northwestern Connecticut at 1200 feet. For this immediate geographic area this is high. During the winter, it is also cold (down to fourteen below zero) and windy (often 40 plus mph) around my place. Since I want to use the tractor to plow in the winter a hard, or soft cab is of great interst to me. Haven't seen any cabs yet for the CK20. It snows in my town much more often than most other areas in Connecticut or so it seems and with cold temperatures and high winds a cab is appealing. Yours was the first post I remember seeing dealing with custom made "hard" cabs. Thanks for the info. Keep in mind that posts stay around for a long time and can be helpful to many users for a long time. Oh yea, when my cubcadet gets tired I would definitely consider getting a PT to replace it. Not sure why you think no one appreciates your input--I do.

I think if you look in this forum, as well as others in TBN, there are many posts that don't get much response--particularly when they offer information rather than ask for it.

Please don't take a lack of response for a lack of interest!

WOW! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I'm not sure that I understand what your expectations were. You posted a reply to a query, and there were 2 responses within 24 hours, and all of a sudden no one appreciates your input. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

If you have been following other threads, as you indicated that you have been, then I would think that you should understand that not every response is going to get a lot of other replies. I agree with what Bob999 said. Your reply to Fouteen provided some interesting information, as did Blackwell's. I think everybody appreciates the information and the picture that you provided.

I'm sorry you seem to feel that TBN is a "closed" group. You are wrong. Stick around and watch some more. Review past threads, and you'll see many that never even received 1 reply. I believe that the vast majority of contributors here are not looking for credit or recognition for their contributions. They're just happy and pleased that they can offer some information and assistance, all the while having a little fun along the way.

Hope to see future posts! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Sims is developing a cab for the CK20, their website (cabdepot.com) says that it should be available in September. I imagine it will look alot like the cab they offer for the Mahindra 2015, probably priced about the same as well.
