look up McGrew tractor in New Paris, IN. They have a place in PA I think as well. It is a tractor boneyard and I have gotten a few things from them (including my loader). There is a chance they have the mid PTO. I remember seeing one on ebay a while back and was considering it, but decided it wasn't worth it. IIRC, it was new old stock and they wanted $650 for it. That was probably 2 or 3 years ago though.
Just found this. Did deere re-release this kit? Granted the price is up there ($1,200), can someone confirm if this is the correct part? It looks like it can be ordered from the dealer as its now listed on Deere's parts site and I found it online here:

Best bet, call that dealer to confirm. I do suggest you have your 1070's serial number when you call.
That does appear to be correct for the gearbox. From what I can see, it does not include the linkage. Items 10, 11 and 40 come as assemblies, but the rest would need to be ordered individually. This could be pricey as well. The linkage seems complex to operate a pto, but the mid pto has a brake in it as well. The extra linkage is needed for that.
