For what its worth, a note about a do it yourself fixit job....
A couple of weeks ago, the throttle cable for the foot pedal broke on my DK45SC. It was pretty surprising to let the clutch out to back away uphill from a 30ft cliff and get no reaction from the throttle!
I ordered a replacement, but didn't want to be without my tractor for as long as it would take to get the part in, and driving it for loader work, using just the manual throttle, was too demanding for somebody with only two hands. The break was right where the cable inserts into the little knob(flange?) that goes on the back of the pedal. I tried drilling out the broken off bit of cable, but that is really hard metal to drill!. Instead I used a cutting wheel on the Dremel tool to cut a groove into the fitting, then soldered the cable end into the groove in the fitting (and also crimped it down a bit with a vise and ballpeen hammer).
Since both throttle cables are the same (a minor miracle!), and I lacked complete confidence in my repair job, I switched the foot and manual throttle cables (this is a real test of patience and manual dexterity...especially if you don't take off the FEL first). Anyway, so far so good...and the replacement part still hasn't shown up!

I don't think I have ever used the foot throttle. I set my hand throttle to run the engine between 1800-2000 rpms and go to work.
