Ranger Rick and Lee,

I have been following your threads and both have given me lots of info. Time is my constraint but due to the cost factors this will most likely be a build I do myself.

I measured this weekend and would like to move the pole/workshop back about forty feet so it is not as close to the house. I will need to cut about 15 trees to do this but I was going to cut them anyway. The only difference now being grinding or removing the stumps.

If I could get it under roof I could then take my time finishing. Looks like a winter project:thumbsup:

Here's a package from menards, comes with everything even the nails..
30 x 50x 12 for 12485.00
30'W x 56'L x 12'H Workshop at Menards

I would second checking with menard's if you have one in your area. I got a quote from them a year or so ago for a 60X80 with everything I wanted for under 20K. MAterials only....no installation, concrete, plumbing, electric, etc. Basic pole barn. They could get me an amish crew to erect it in about 3-4 days for 5K. And, I asked about a 10% military discount which Lowe's and HD offer and Menards USED to give....but although thy no longer give it, they said they would be able to knock 10-15% off the price.
FYI!
I haven't done it yet, because of changing priorities, but it seemed like a good quality barn at a decent price.

Wish I had a Menards and an Amish crew in my area. I'm planning to move to Southern Maine and will need a barn/garage for my tractor and attachments. Getting a quote from a local contractor who last winter built my attached garage on the house we own there. He's a good guy however I fear the quote as I'm looking at a 32x40 with three doors (two front, one back). I'm hoping he'll come through for me on price seeing that I have done business with him before.

I don't really have time to build it myself this time around. Been there and done that twice already at previous two properties.
