Thanks for doing that. Just made my decision a lot easier.

I am thinking the 1046 with the 12" uncut is so cheap, I will buy that and just throw it away in 5 years if it comes to that.

I have a '07 2554 and love it, I have 70hrs on it and the only problem was a broken hood boss and the dealer fixed it no questions asked. The 54" deck actually makes it easier to mow around trees ( got about 35 in my grass alone) because it sticks out farhter and can get closer to the base. If you are going to do any plowing or pulling this thing is a beast. It's a great machine!!

BUT that 54 in deck sticks out so far it can clip next to things very easily.
