I said it before and I will say it again, I think the Mahindra will fit your description with ease.

Look at the 500 series Massey's They have models running from in the 45hp range up to 95 hp. I traded off a 481 for my 596 and it would move and unbelievable amount of dirt with the MFWD. I never did find anything it wouldn't lift, push or pull. My neighbor(a loyal JD fan) just traded for a 583 MFWD and a FEL after seeing how well my 481 held up and how little fuel it used compared to his JD in the hayfield. They still have the Perkins engine in them, dealer network, parts. and resale value. I had 4 years 500+ hours of hard use with no breakdowns of any type. I wouldn't have traded it, but I needed in a cab.

I was looking on there site last night. I rather like them. Do you sell them? How do they hold up.

I know massey had some mfwd tractors that were in the 400 series. I think you just reminded me of them. I wanted one a few years ago, but my dealer close to me told me he was going out of business, so I held off. Thanks for the info

There are several tractors that will fit that bill. JD has several that are a basic tractor with mfwd and a fel. The tractor built in India the 5x03 is a good example. It is 56hp and is very solid. The other 5000 series are excellent as well. The NH's that are not CUT's as well. Mahindra makes a solid tractor. I think that all of the major manufacturers make a tractor that fits your suggested needs.:)

I think a D-9 or 10 Cat would be a good choice and when you get the farm cleared you coulf go into strip mining.

While I agree that I should get a cat dozer, I would never strip out the beautiful property I have. They do enough coal mining all around me here in southern Illinois.
