Steph,
The fuzziness is likely due to one or two factors: hand shake and/or not pre-focusing. With practice, you'll learn to take your long shots just like your first hog shot. Stop breathing and hold very still and braced if possible. Even with the IS, long zoom shots are very sensitive to hand movement. Second, make sure you get a focus lock by pressing down halfway and getting the green square in the viewfinder or LCD, before completing the "trigger" press. Also, if you have the digital zoom on, I would recommend that you turn it off. You can get the same enlargement just by zooming and cropping on the computer.
<font color="blue">"a little confused on what to order" </font>
Now, if we're spending Eddie's money, I suggest you get a LensMate 58mm silver adapter and a Sony 1.7x TC lens, which looks like a good combination, based on these pictures. You could get the Canon TC lens for a little less money, but it's only 1.5x. However, if you want to keep everything Canon, it's a good choice. While you're on the LensMate site, you might get a good UV filter, too. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
