Question? Does not the card reader work on the serial or USB bus. If it does, how is it faster than USB? The only thing that I can see is that the carmera itself is slow in the download process. One more question, carmaras are being made without USB connections? Hard to believe.

/w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gifthat a keeper great looking fish.
Some of my friends travel to the Great Lakes for some spring time fishing, and the pictures also the fish I seen...well you don't buy them in a super market.

Heard mother nature can turn those lakes wild at times. /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif

I forgot to mention that the young man in the photo with me is the guide I use quite a bit...4 to 5 trips a year on the river, spring through fall. We go for steelhead in the spring and late fall, rainbow and brown trout in the summer, and salmon in the early fall. Though I have fished without guides for most of my fishing life, I have found that if I really want to have the most productive time, these guys know how to make it happen. The one in the picture was the largest of four I landed that day. Others were 14 to 16 lbs range. Attached is another that is about 14 to 15lbs for anyone interested. All were catch and release. Fish'n, tractor'n...it just don't get any better most days.

ddl-The card reader should work off the USB port. The USB port is a lot faster than the serial. Most of the newer cameras give you a cable so you can download direct from either.

Bill,
If you don't mind I'd like that guys name. I usually head home to Idaho to do steelhead fishing but to MI would be alot closer.
Thanks,

Richard,
No problem. His name is Steve Kuieck. (616) 293-0501 He's not only a good guide, but has a nice personality and does a great shore lunch. His business is called River Quest Charters. He has a web site (which I will try to make clickable below.) If you visit the site and click on "Fall" in the index, you will find some nice photos, including yours truly with the 18 pounder...landed on fly gear by the way.

Good luck...

Camera finally arrived Wednesday. Been trying to take pictures and download them. I guess I need to get used to this digital stuff. Sure doesn't take pictures like my Canon EOS. It'll take some time but I should be able to master to the echnique. Here is one of my first pictures.

Congrats on the camera, Ron! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

This digital stuff definitely has a different feel than film, but you'll get used to it soon enough, and us TBN'ers will be the beneficiaries. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

There's certainly nothing wrong with the picture you just posted. That's a difficult lighting situation, yet you got plenty of detail. Looks like a workin' man's tool barn. I especially like the big orange tool in the middle. /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif
