The little building should be rather easy to elevate. As long as it has a strong enough frame and floor. I recently moved my 12X16 wooden shed with the help of my wife and a neighbor. You should easily be able to lift one side at a time with jacks, I used the old timey offroad bumper jacks. I just lifted one side until it was about a block higher than the other side, cribbed it with blocks on that side then went to the other side and did the same thing, over and over until it was high enough to back a trailer under. If you wanted to add sonotube concrete you may even be able to crib it high enough to add them without having to move the building out of the way first. I bet it could be a weekend project.

d. If you go back in these thread, many interior photos have been posted.
Oh yeah! My memory needed a nudge. Places sitting on the market through the summer, and starring at a long winter, has gotta make it a buyers market??

Most folks take there property off for the winter. Nonetheless, it does seem like a buyers market here.

Looked at another tonight on 45 acres and the nearest one to town yet. Was drizzling while there so I took few photos. Not a fan of log homes but we are still interested. Messaged the realtor using two different systems and not head from him yet.......

We’ve owned one and Ive worked on quite a few. Maintenance intensive! Whats going on with the butt joint in the photo with the dog? Just below the window.

Check out Permachink. I think they make the best all around products for staining, chinking, etc. plus some good info on their website if you want to dive into log home care.

There HIGH maintenance was why we don't really want one. We're not sure its insulated either. Questions we'd ask the realtor who's not gotten back to us....

Our current house is a conventional ranch but the previous owners added a really nice oak log siding. We eventually had it torn off. It is very high maintenance but if taken care of is nice.

Walls generally arent. If you see the same logs inside and out. Roof assembly should be, crawlspace or slab hopefully. I noticed with ours if we were gone for a few days the logs cooled off, but once home and running the wood stove 24/7 they retained heat. Not as good as a 2x6 wall cavity with quality insulation.

It is very high maintenance but if taken care of is nice.
The real nice looking log homes I worked on in momtana were third homes(or more for the owners). They looked amazing, straight out of a magazine, but the owners only lifted a check book and never a brush. There are some wood exteriors that work and look great, but lp siding/cement board is really hard to beat for looks and performance. My current house is cedar board and batten, I love the look but Im not looking forward to refinishing it!
