Can 3720 dig pond in clay???

This is what behind the dump truck looks like in previous picture. If you are building a dam, you need to compact soil every 18 inches or your damb will leak. A 4000 lb machine won't do it properly.

I think I'm going to fork over the money to have the pond dug. There will be plenty of seat time needed when it's done to finish up the lanscape. Thanks to all, MichMan.

It sounds like a fair price. I have used well over 1000 in fuel alone, 3 cases of greese, 450 in gas water pump, and alot of time. Not to mention my wife riding me for spending all free time trying to beat the weather.

They will come in and get the job done quickly. It is amazing what a good oporator can do with an excavator and how little time it takes him to do it. I have become alot better with the excavator, but my first day of digging I could have moved more dirt with a shovel. Good luck.
