I will likely be picking up a B21 in the next week or two, and have access to an enclosed trailer. The height of the tractor probably won't clear the roof. Anyone know if I can remove the ROPS temporarily?

If so, anyone know how heavy it would be?

Thanks,

6Miles

I would think yes...unless the mtg flange is below the fenders.

Thanks, I don't have the tractor in front of me (it a 5 hour trip to pick it up). Anyone here with a B21 able to take a quick look and snap a photo of where the rear posts mount?

Thanks,

It is night time and rainy here right now so I cannot take any pictures but I took the canopy off mine last summer and although I could manage it, it was quite heavy. If I remember correctly, the ROPs do not extend beneath the fenders. Removing the entire assembly in one piece would be a two man job. The front and rear ROPs plus the heavy duty cross bracing between the two along with the canopy itself will be quite heavy.

Thanks Dennis, it's good to know what to expect. I'll definitely have a buddy with me to help -- I'm using up all my favors!

Anyone else have experience removing it? Or a photo?

Thanks,

Thanks! SO looking at this and a parts diagram, it looks like the two front posts have 2 bolts a piece, and the rears have two also. The post seems to extend just afew inches below the mounting plate. Could it be this simple?

Here's the parts diagram, there's a "magnify" feature in the top left corner of the diagram.

Does this one have a backhoe on it? If it does, will that get in the way? Don't know, myself, since I don't have one.

It has a backhoe, but removing that isn't that much of a chore.
