Me too. The head, as fuzzy as it is, holds the only real clue. A wolf would have erect ears, always, and I believe they would show even in this poor photo. Only a dog would have floppy ears, which seems to be the case here.

Could it be a wolf/dog cross or a dog/coyote cross? we get alot of coydogs out here in WNY and they are really pretty varied in how they look.

Possibly a coy-wolf? We have them in Ontario now - bigger than a coyote but lighter frame than a wolf. First time I saw one in real I thought it was some kind of giant reddish fox with a bushy tail
