yep, the original ps valve for a ford like that would be a bank in the steering column.

the rowcrops of that era used a single arm sustem that had a valve in arm cyl linkage similar to what was mocked up.

Any valve used would need to be OC.

Ok thanks for all the info. I'm guessing that it wouldn't take a big GPM pump to run the cylinders?

The smaller the cyls, the less volume.
