Rent a Billygoat mower. Maybe $50?

Get it knocked down then keep in in shape with the ZTR.

Wow, a lot of people think zero turns are wimps I guess, I think the mower will chew it up like candy, we will see. It's rained a lot here so it may be next weekend before I get a chance to test it out.

If you don't mind the workout, renting a Billy Goat is a good idea, but it's definately a workout. I rented one for a day 6 years ago, worked great. Not long later I found a lightly used one with a price too good to pass up.

For sure something will get chewed up.

Yup.. Definitely a work out.

I have a thread on here from several years ago about my Billy Goat "experience" lol. Albeit what I was cutting was considerably heaver than 1/4" . My back is still sore:laughing:

I let my girlfriend run my last summer, after a couple minutes she had enough. It's looks can be deceiving.

My eXmark is a bulldozer.
I have been doing mowing such as this with it for 13 years.

Just have to be careful not to get a branch caught in the mule belt......

Ask me how I know

I don't think ztr's are wimps. Just not what they are made for and is for sure hard on them, even if you don't break anything.

I think that even if it cuts without damage to the mower, you will have to go so slow, like minimum crawl speed, for the debris to clear from the mower deck that it will take you a long time to cut 3/4 acre. I know, once I was out of the country for 8 weeks and a portion of my yard around my pond was a bit wet so it didn't get mowed. The grass/weeds was waist high. It took me almost an hour to mow down a 50 foot x 75 foot section. I was only able to take about 1/4-1/2 mower width, creep into it, stop to let the grass clear out then creep forward again and even then the belt would be slipping. I burned the deck belt so bad I had to replace it ($60). If I had it to do over again, I would have spent time to hook up my bush hog and mow what I could then weed eat the rest.

Well I guess I didn't describe the area good enough, it's not a complete carpet of 1/4" brush, it just has a few of those scattered around but more than I want to pull up by hand. The rest of the area is just tiny brush and oak saplings. And I need to pick up the sticks too.
