The tires are 14.9-24 Goodyear Industrial Sure-Grip. They're on my MF35 Utility.
When I say they look "funny", they've always looked like someone put a cap or retread on. As I recall, the previous owner said he put "new" tires on it but they never looked new to me.
Both tires are doing the same thing with an obvious place where the tread simply starts to peel off. Maybe that's a normal failure for tractor tires but I've never seen one like that.
I'm hoping just to keep them together to buy myself some more time.

You CAn have a newish tire retreaded. IMHO.. it's not worth the cost if it's not a place that actually does it locally.. most places have to ship them. byt the time it's shipped 2 ways and capped, assuming it's a newish caseing anyway.. you are at least 3/4's the cost into a new tire. semi truck trailer tires or regroveables are similar.
IMHO.. by the time a tire gets worn enough that you think about caping it.. the casing is too old to do so anyway.. etc.

There is an English company that specializes in compounds to fix tractors/grader/ bob cat tyres. (they may be available in the USA)
They are according to the info really tough repairs

Go to the ag store that handles tractor tires ... surely they have a "cement" a rubber cement like the stuff used on a tube to bond the patch to the tube ... fill the crack with plenty of it and park with the repair down overnight ... next day do the other one and drive on until you need new ones.

I understand tires are very expensive but if you dont replace them you will have a total failure at the most inconvenient time when you really need that tractor.
