Can i legally haul this tractor ?

yep.. towing with a half ton is not my bag anymore. heck.. given the choice I won't tow with my 3/4 ton either. it's either the 1t or the 1.5t

the wifes half ton yukon is a 'car' as far as I'm concerned. I got rid of my good running dodge ram 1500 ( 98 model ) just for the towing issues. not that it was inadequate.. I just was always wanting to push the envelope.. and being on the edge of safe, constantly.. ain't safe.

Bigger tow vehicle , more stopping power and weight.. I feel safer... more power on an uphill climb too...

I'll second that. I thought my F-150 was a great truck and it is for what it was designed to do but towing is not its strong suit and now that I have towed with the F-350 it is night and day difference, I would not want to go back.

Well, someday I hope to be out of the towing business and go back to a nice half ton truck that fits into parking spaces :laughing:

But as long as I have to tow heavy stuff, I agree, a half ton doesn't cut it very well.

except for golf cart or compact car parking, where a half ton wouldn't fit either.. I havn't yet found a parking lot / spot where the drw rear end couldn't be set between the white lines.

I have found a few that were not as long / deep as I wanted.. but then a crewcab / long bed half ton would, again, be in the exact same situation... thus nothing loss or gained...
