Can i legally haul this tractor ?

My 2 cents: what I would do 1st> take the tractor to a scale and have it weighed, then go from there. but the trailer brakes are a must.
I looked at the manufacturer's weights that are for only the tractor, this does NOT mean with the loader and bucket. When I had my tractor delivered, I took it straight to a scale and weighed it with the tractor, loader and brush-hog and there's a shocking weight differance.
Ok. everything else has been covered.

For the time already spent thinking about how to trailer the tractor for the 15 mi, he could have gotten on it and drove it home, then the other 25 mi. 3 hr tops.

I agree with droptop, drive it the 15 miles and enjoy the ride, That much weight and no trailer brakes is not something you want especially when the toddler learning to ride her new bike careens out in front of you !!

Drive it or get the right trailer to haul it !!

IMHO that's asking for trouble.. get the average dufus driver inthere and that might spell disaster!

I think it's good that Hudson is showing real-world numbers that factor in the tongue weight -- it gives a realistic assessment. Almost every other trailer company I have looked at lists gross as the net axle rating. Of course, Hudson uses an extreme number -- it would be about 21% tongue weight and the vehicle would need to be able to handle 1950# on the hitch to get to the full trailer capacity.

Road travel of 10-20 miles around here is common. Just dont do like some of the weekend warriors I see and drive on the road @ 4 mph. Tractors have a road gear, use it.

Last time I moved my tractor 6k plus I rented a 18' tilt trailer from Sun Belt rentals for $44.00 out the door Friday afternoon to Monday Morning rental.
The trailer had hydraulic surge brakes. the trailer towed very well.

every happy-owner weekend warrior i know has at least an f-250 diesel to run back and forth to home depot with........

I'll second that. I thought my F-150 was a great truck and it is for what it was designed to do but towing is not its strong suit and now that I have towed with the F-350 it is night and day difference, I would not want to go back.
